The Silo Art Space is Rocktown's expansion into yet another realm of community fulfillment. We have a lot of talented people in Oklahoma and we want to provide an opportunity for them to show off their creations.
The Silo Art Space is one of the most unique venues in Oklahoma to hold an art exhibition. We transform the climbing gym into a fully functional work of art. The round rooms provide a one-of-a-kind atmosphere for artistic interaction.
The space can be arranged into a number of configurations providing for a comfotable wqalk-through environment, brightly-lit area, dark areas - each room can have a look and feel all its own. The idea are endless.
Our debut art show, featuring the photography of Sherwin Tibayan was held on June 6, 2009.
We entertain a wide array of ideas and projects. If you think you have an exhibition that fits this space please send us an email proposal. Terms vary based upon the project/event, use, and duration.
The space would be great for sound art, video projection projects, paintings - even dance performance pieces would work.
UPDATE: The Silo Art Space welcomes the silo's BIGGEST endeavor yet - the SILO ART PROJECT.
The Silo Art Project is the next step in Rocktown's future of becoming a nationally recognized icon not only in the climbing world but in the art world. Specifically - public art!
The enitre facade of the Rocktown silos is being re-envisioned and painted with a beautful work of art by Rick Sinnett entitled "This Land."
The painting is the centerpiece for a journey of public art stops along the Route 66 cordior under the Public Art Project 66.
